Saudi Arabian artificial intelligence startup Humain recently unveiled its new AI operating system, 'Humain One,' at the 9th Future Investment Initiative conference in Riyadh. This innovative system is designed to supersede traditional icon-based operating systems, such as Windows and macOS, by enabling users to interact with their computers through natural language commands to perform a wide array of tasks.
Tariq Amin, CEO of Humain, stated at the launch event, "We are redefining enterprise computing, creating an AI partner that can understand user goals, anticipate needs, and autonomously execute tasks." He emphasized that this operating system, with its simplified intelligent interface, aims to boost the productivity and creativity of various roles within enterprises.
The Humain One operating system is powered by Humain's agent orchestration engine and integrates 'Allam,' a language model primarily focused on Arabic. The introduction of this operating system comes at a pivotal time as Saudi Arabia intensifies its efforts to advance AI, striving to secure a leading position in the global market.
Last month, Humain also showcased its flagship device, the 'Horizon Pro AI PC,' specifically engineered for its AI-native operating system, at the Qualcomm Snapdragon Summit. Furthermore, Amin disclosed that Humain is considering the construction of approximately 6 gigawatts of data center capacity, though specific locations and timelines have not yet been revealed.
Saudi Arabia is actively pursuing AI transformation as part of its 'Vision 2030,' investing billions to expand its AI, robotics, and cloud computing sectors. Humain was founded within this broader context, established in May of this year by the country's sovereign wealth fund, with the objective of becoming a 'global AI powerhouse.' The startup is chaired by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
